Products

What I've built

Personal products and experiments that show how I think, design, and build end-to-end

Products and experiments born from real needs, late-night ideas, and the recurring question: why does this not exist better in Spanish? Featured work shows product ownership, design, engineering, launch, and operations.

    CiudadanoUSA

A Spanish-first mobile app for U.S. citizenship interview preparation, designed for people who study in Spanish and need confidence answering in English.

    Problem
Citizenship preparation is fragmented: official materials, location-dependent answers, and limited help bridging Spanish study with English interview answers.
    User
Spanish-speaking immigrants preparing civics, the N-400 interview, English reading, and writing in a high-anxiety context.
    Solution
A bilingual app with civics study, mock interview, N-400 rehearsal, reading/writing practice, audio, and elected-official lookup by ZIP code.
    My role
Product, design, React Native/Expo, Supabase backend, RevenueCat monetization, launch, and bilingual marketing site.
    Outcome
Published on iOS and Android with a Pro flow, USCIS-aligned content, and an experience designed for a real bilingual user.
    • Civics 2025 (128 questions) and 2008 (100 questions) study banks aligned with USCIS
    • Mock interview, N-400 rehearsal, English reading and writing practice
    • Elected officials lookup by ZIP code for location-dependent civics answers
    • CarPlay and Android Auto audio for studying on the go (Pro)

  • Product case studyBlogrenderlog.dev

    Renderlog

A bilingual technical blog about frontend engineering, written from production experience, refactors, and decisions that only appear after years maintaining real software.

    Problem
A lot of Spanish frontend content is shallow, translated without context, or disconnected from real production decisions.
    User
Frontend and full stack developers looking for practical judgment about React, Next.js, Vue, performance, architecture, and i18n.
    Solution
A bilingual blog with articles written from direct experience, an editorial point of view, and topics that connect code with technical judgment.
    My role
Editorial strategy, technical writing, frontend, i18n, deployment, and self-hosted operations.
    Outcome
A personal platform that demonstrates technical communication, senior judgment, and lightweight infrastructure operations with Raspberry Pi and Cloudflare Tunnel.
    • Quality frontend content in Spanish that is not empty auto-translated material
    • Topics drawn from real work: React, Next.js, Vue.js, performance, and architecture
    • Self-hosted on a Raspberry Pi 5 with Cloudflare Tunnel
    • Next.js
    • React
    • Technical Writing
    • i18n

Experiments and smaller projects

Side projects and renderlog.dev run on a Raspberry Pi 5 at home, exposed through Cloudflare Tunnel.

How I work

Principles that guide my product, architecture, and delivery decisions

  • Ship small, learn fast

I validate with real users before adding debt or unnecessary complexity.

  • Simple, observable, maintainable systems

I choose architectures teams can operate, debug, and evolve without heroics or tribal knowledge.

  • Modernize without breaking the business

I migrate legacy platforms pragmatically with feature flags, incremental delivery, and controlled risk.

  • Bilingual product with real context

I design Spanish and English experiences around users, tone, and cultural constraints—not translation alone.

  • AI and automation with purpose

I adopt new tools when they remove real friction for users or teams, not because of hype or to replace judgment.
